Hellas Bio Net works closely with several Universities, Higher Education Institutions & Research Centers with the aim of improving farming practices in organic crops, the production of new innovative organic foods of high nutritional value and training producers in the application of modern practices in all stages of production.

Currently 2020-2021, Hellas Bio Net is implementing three serious research-educational programs:         

  •   Coordinates the implementation of a research program in collaboration with the Department of Plant Science of the University of Patras (Vegetable Laboratory) for the Creation of New Zucchini Hybrids, suitable for Organic crops and their availability in the Greek market. The research project has been included in the RIS3 Program "AGRODIATROFI" of the Region of Western Greece. Till today, there are no similar Hybrids produced in our country and used by growers only imported from other European countries.

 

 

  • Coordinates together with Harokopio University the implementation of a research program that aims to create innovative “Novel Food”, certified according to Vegan, based on Organic Table Olives, as well as the optimization of Olive cultivation, with the application of innovative "Intelligent" farming practices. The research team consists of experienced scientists-researchers of Harokopio University ( Department of Dietetics-Nutrition Science), theDepartment of Plant Science of the University of Patras and the American School of Agriculture (Perotis College). The research project involves organic production units operating in Western Greece and Central Macedonia.

 

 

 

  • Coordinates research project aiming at the development of innovative, domestic expertise for the production of high nutritional value and increased disposal time, dried organic agri-food products, through the creation of a pilot unit Freeze Drying (Lyophilization), medium capacity. The research team consists of experienced University scientists-researchers. The research project involves two private companies with special experience in the field of food technology, as well as organic production units operating in Western Greece.
